SpaceX temporarily limits Starshield access for fast Ukrainian drones
SpaceX temporarily restricted Starshield access on Ukrainian drones flying above a certain speed, disrupting a key part of Ukraine’s military operations, Ukrainian officials told CBS News’ @aidan_stretch. The restrictions were imposed without prior consultation with Kyiv, officials said, before Ukrainian authorities announced Thursday that access had been restored.
The technology connects not only attack drones but also sensors and weapons systems across the battlefield. The episode comes amid tensions over Ukraine’s strikes on Russian energy infrastructure and questions over continued U.S. support.
