Steven Gerrard could finally erase Liverpool regret after Man City verdict

Steven Gerrard could finally become a Premier League champion 12 years after Liverpool’s heartbreaking title failure, following the reported verdict in Manchester City’s financial case. According to Liverpool.com, an independent panel has reportedly found City guilty of 114 of the 115 charges, although the official decision is yet to be published and any punishment could be appealed.

If titles are subsequently stripped, Liverpool could potentially be awarded the 2013/14 championship, when they finished runners-up to City. Such a decision would retrospectively give Gerrard the Premier League title that eluded him throughout his illustrious Liverpool career.
