Stop the NFF elections, Odegbami appeals to Tinubu, Nigerians
Former Green Eagles captain Segun Odegbami has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians to halt next month’s Nigeria Football Federation board elections, alleging the outcome has already been predetermined.
In an opinion piece published by Vanguard News, Odegbami argued the process lacks transparency, with potential candidates allegedly sidelined and the polls set to hold away from public scrutiny.
He said he would soon challenge the legal status of the NFF in court, insisting the federation “does not even exist” in law, and called for the elections to be suspended pending reforms.
