Susie Wiles reportedly expelled from Oval Office following clash with Trump
United States President Donald Trump reportedly shouted at White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and ordered her out of the Oval Office following Republican losses in the midterm elections.
According to the Daily Mail, citing White House sources, Trump confronted Wiles on Thursday over the election defeat and allegations that her allies attempted to blame Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
“He exploded at her,” one source said.
“He told her to leave,” another source added.
Morgan DeWitt-Snow, a senior White House personnel official and Wiles ally, was reportedly present during the confrontation and subsequently left the room.
Sources alleged that Wiles’ associates had leaked information about Hegseth to journalists to shift responsibility for the Republican Party’s electoral setbacks.
Reports also claimed Wiles had arranged a Camp David meeting involving loyal aides to discuss her political future.
However, the allegations concerning the leaks and meeting remain independently unverified.
Trump subsequently announced that Stephen Miller would replace Wiles as White House chief of staff, effective November 9.
The president said Wiles would move to his political operation, publicly thanking her for her service.
The leadership change followed Democrats’ capture of both congressional chambers, intensifying scrutiny of Trump’s administration and electoral strategy.
