Suspected Edo thugs threaten to capture Adeleke, ‘finish Davido’

Two suspected political thugs from Edo State have issued threatening videos targeting Osun State incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and his nephew Davido ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, vowing to “capture Adeleke” and remove him from Government House.

In a viral 1 minute 38 second video, the men claimed to have arrived in Osun State and issued direct threats. “We are going to capture Adeleke tomorrow,” they said, also threatening Davido: “We will finish you.”

Daily Post reports that Davido subsequently tagged the Inspector-General of Police and the Department of State Services in the video, drawing security authorities’ attention to the threats. Security agencies had not publicly responded at press time.
