Taraba SEMA chief accused of diverting relief materials, using funds for daughter’s treatment

Taraba State Emergency Management Agency Executive Secretary, Dr Echuseh Audu, has come under scrutiny over financial transactions linked to a business associated with her and allegations concerning diverted relief materials.

According to SaharaReporters, financial records showed three payments totalling ₦44 million to Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja. Sources reportedly said the payments covered treatment for a young girl who later died.

Records also showed a ₦12.19 million transaction involving the Taraba State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project Drawdown Account and Katuka’s Kitchen, a business linked to Audu.

A source alleged, “She has resigned from the Katuka Kitchen on CAC but her BVN is still linked to the Katuka Kitchen.”

Audu had previously denied allegations that rice and groundnut oil intended for vulnerable residents were diverted.

She voluntarily presented herself to security agencies and requested an investigation.

SaharaReporters said Audu did not respond to calls or messages seeking her reaction to the latest financial records.
