Ten lions found dead in suspected poisoning at Tanzania’s Ngorongoro reserve

Ten lions have been found dead in a suspected poisoning in Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area, authorities have said.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) said the bodies were discovered on Friday in Ndutu, with preliminary findings pointing to poison.

Investigators are working to determine the cause and identify those responsible. Breitbart, citing Sky News, noted that Lion Guardians said six lions died in a similar incident near the Kenya-Tanzania border earlier this year, with dead vultures suggesting poison.
