The future is now: Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster that flies & drives upside down
Elon Musk finally unveiled the new Tesla Roadster on Thursday night, and the demo lived up to nine years of hype. The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX.
At the invite-only event outside Waco, Texas, the Roadster raced up a steep ramp, flipped over, and kept driving upside down.
The car then shot off the edge of the track while still inverted, flew through the air, turned itself right side up, and landed.
The new Tesla Roadster does a “kickflip” over a fleet of Tesla vehicles.
The stunt comes seconds after the vehicle launched off a massive ramp and flipped in midair before landing on the ground.
