The reason we lost – JD Vance
JUST IN: Vice President JD Vance is blaming the Iran war for Republicans’ sweeping midterm defeat as Democrats seize control of Congress.
“The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night.”
Vance says the party also needs to confront voters’ cost-of-living frustrations, its America First priorities and its relationship with Israel.
He acknowledges those who warned Republicans about the political consequences, saying they have every right to say, “I told you so.”
The fallout is now raising questions about the party’s direction and the political cost of the war heading into 2028.
