Thierry Henry gives verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal future
Thierry Henry has backed Cristiano Ronaldo following the Portugal captain’s unexpected departure from the national team camp, insisting the incident will not define his remarkable career. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Ronaldo left Portugal’s training camp before their UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark after being left on the bench against Norway.
Portugal manager Jorge Jesus had reportedly promised Ronaldo 30 minutes as a substitute but failed to introduce him. Speaking on RMC Sport’s Rothen s’enflamme, Henry said he would never judge Ronaldo’s career based on the incident. The former France international also praised Ronaldo alongside Lionel Messi for their sustained excellence.
