Tinubu courts diaspora investment, declares Nigeria ready for business
President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians in the diaspora to convert remittances into long-term investments capable of creating jobs and strengthening Nigeria’s economy, according to a report by The Guardian Nigeria.
Speaking through Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila at the inaugural Nigeria Diaspora Economic Conference in Toronto, Tinubu said remittances “must now become the floor of diaspora engagement, rather than its ceiling,” urging investment in agro-processing, healthcare, technology and other sectors.
He cited Nigeria’s 3.89% GDP growth and easing inflation at 15.91% as evidence of improving macroeconomic stability under his reforms.
