Tinubu eligibility suit: Court orders Atiku to serve APC within 7 days

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that President Bola Tinubu be served, within seven days, with a suit filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar seeking to bar him from the 2027 presidential race over allegations of certificate forgery, according to Vanguard.

Justice Inyang Ekwo approved substituted service through Tinubu’s party, the APC. Atiku alleges Tinubu submitted a forged NYSC certificate bearing the name “Tinubu Bola Adekunle” to INEC, and seeks his disqualification. Two SANs, Akin Olujinmi and Wole Olanipekun, have separately filed processes contesting the suit’s competence on Tinubu’s behalf. Hearing is billed for September 28.
