Tinubu names Abel Enitan head of civil service as Walson-Jack bows out
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 27, according to a Sahara Reporters statement issued by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga. Enitan succeeds Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who is retiring after reaching the statutory age of 60.
The Osun State-born official is currently the most senior Permanent Secretary in the federal civil service, with over seven years’ experience across the Ministries of Police Affairs, Humanitarian Affairs and Education. Tinubu thanked Walson-Jack for her reforms and charged Enitan to deepen professionalism and build a merit-driven, results-oriented civil service.
