Tinubu returns from France, arrives Lagos

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos after concluding his working vacation in France.

According to PUNCH, Tinubu arrived at the presidential wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, on Tuesday, where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries received him.

The President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, confirmed his arrival, writing on X, “Landing. Welcome home Mr President!”

Tinubu left Abuja on August 30 for his working vacation, spending one week in London before travelling to Paris. The Presidency previously confirmed his European working vacation.

His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu would hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates in Lagos.

“While in Lagos, President Tinubu will also hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates over several days in preparation for the 2027 elections,” the statement read.

Tinubu is also expected to attend an Independence Day movie premiere honouring late MKO Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre.
