Tinubu returns to Abuja after six-day Lagos stay
President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja on Monday evening after concluding a six-day stay in Lagos, the Presidency has announced.
According to The Nation, Tinubu arrived in Lagos on September 29 after his annual holiday in London and Paris.
During the visit, the President participated in activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary and addressed Nigerians on October 1.
He also attended the national premiere of “MKO,” a documentary chronicling the life and political struggle of late Chief Moshood Abiola and the June 12 pro-democracy movement.
Tinubu later visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at the Iga Iduganran Palace on Sunday.
Confirming his planned departure, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Lagos for Abuja this evening after his six-day visit to the former seat of government.”
The President is expected to resume official engagements in Abuja.
