Tinubu’s Makkah trip a ruse, actual destination is France—Atiku
The ADC presidential candidate demands daily photos, videos from Makkah
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has alleged that President Bola Tinubu’s announced pilgrimage to Makkah is a cover for a trip to France, Naija News reports.
In a statement by Phrank Shaibu, director of strategic communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said intelligence available to him points to France. He asked whether the trip is linked to Tinubu’s health or a reported $20 billion loan request involving a French business partner.
He demanded daily, date-stamped photographs and videos of Tinubu at the Kaaba, saying Nigerians deserve “verifiable proof of the President’s presence in Makkah.”
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu leaves Abuja Thursday for Umrah and returns next week.
