Top 12 finish for Nigeria at Miss World 2026 as Dominican Republic claims title

Nigeria’s representative at the 2026 Miss World pageant, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, exited the competition after reaching the Top 12 at the 73rd edition of the global contest held at April 2 Square in Nha Trang, Vietnam on Saturday.

Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026, giving her country its second Miss World title — 44 years after Mariasela Álvarez won the crown in 1982, according PM News.

Tamunosoye had earlier secured automatic Top 40 placement by winning the Africa Top Model title at the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest, defeating contestants from Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya and South Africa, before advancing through the Top 20 and Top 12 without reaching the final six.
