Toyin Abraham explains why she turned down APC campaign council role
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has said her rejection of inclusion in the Lagos APC Campaign Council was not prompted by online bullying or trolls.
According to The Nation, Abraham said on Friday that she discovered her name on the campaign council list despite having no prior knowledge of her inclusion.
She maintained that she rejected the appointment because it was the right decision, reiterating that she was not interested in politics.
Abraham had earlier denied being a member of any campaign council after her name appeared under the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
The directorate also listed entertainers including Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, Pasuma, Obesere and Adewale Ayuba ahead of the council’s inauguration on Friday.
