Trump administration records over 300,000 visa revocations in 21 months
The United States Department of State has announced that President Donald Trump’s administration has revoked over 300,000 American visas issued to foreign nationals over the past 21 months, according to a report by Peoples Gazette.
State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott stated, “With over 300,000 revocations, the Trump administration has revoked more visas at a faster pace than any administration in history.” Highlighting a policy of zero tolerance for lawbreaking or security threats, officials noted that reasons for the revocations include assault, driving under the influence, theft, substance abuse, and roughly 4,000 cases linked to birth tourism.
The sweeping immigration crackdown follows related enforcement actions, including recent denaturalisation proceedings filed against foreign nationals accused of procurement fraud and identity falsification.
