Trump administration silent as Russian drones, missiles strike US businesses in Ukraine
The administration of United States President Donald Trump has faced criticism over its silence following Russian drone and missile strikes damaging American businesses operating in Ukraine.
According to CNN, facilities linked to Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and McDonald’s have suffered damage during Russian attacks in recent months.
American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine President Andy Hunder expressed concern over Washington’s response.
“This is a direct hit with drones and missiles, and they keep hitting them. It’s sending a message that they’re targeting American business. We’re not seeing any response from the White House,” he said.
A Coca-Cola facility near Kyiv was struck in September, while a warehouse serving McDonald’s was damaged later that month.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attacks as a warning to Washington.
Meanwhile, Trump’s administration has criticised Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, citing economic consequences.
The White House maintained that Trump remains committed to negotiating an end to the ongoing conflict between both countries.
