President Donald Trump commented on Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial for the first time Friday afternoon, calling it “a shame” and “a horrible tragedy” after learning about the mistrial.
“It’s hard not to follow it, it’s on TV,” the president said. “I assume there will be another trial.”
“Look, she did a horrible, horrible thing, but you’ll find out what the price to pay is – mental institution or jail,” Trump told reporters. “I guess they’re going to go through another trial. It’s too bad.”
