Trump denies weapons shortage, vows to hunt down ‘leakers’
US President Donald Trump has rejected reports of a munitions shortage amid the ongoing conflict with Iran, insisting the country holds “massive amounts” of weapons and that more are being produced. In a Truth Social post, he also said those responsible for leaking related information would face “long term jail sentences.”
According to BBC News, the denial follows a Washington Post report claiming Trump had confronted Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth over a possible shortfall, and a CBS News report suggesting the US had used much of its long-range precision missile stockpile during the six-month conflict.
