Trump warns of annihilating Iran while outlining foreign-policy vision at U.N.
President Donald Trump told the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday that his administration is confronting global threats while putting American interests first, according to a report by Wall Street Journal.
Addressing world leaders in New York, Trump reiterated his “America First” doctrine, citing his role in ending several international conflicts and pushing back against what he described as global institutions’ failure to resolve ongoing crises. His remarks came amid persistent wars in Gaza, Ukraine and Sudan, alongside growing anxiety over the economic and social effects of emerging artificial intelligence technologies.
The president also renewed his criticism of longstanding allies, accusing them of relying too heavily on American support while resisting his push for greater self-reliance among UN member states.
