Turaki-led PDP backs G100’s bid to challenge Tinubu in 2027
The Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party has endorsed the G-100, a coalition of opposition stalwarts building an all-opposition front against President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.
According to Vanguard, in a statement by National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong on Tuesday, the faction said its decision was driven by the hardship Nigerians face under the ruling APC, anchoring its participation on transparency, equality and data-driven decision-making.
The party said the move aligned with its earlier commitment to working with like-minded forces to “rescue” Nigeria, describing its attendance at the G-100’s first meeting on August 31 as proof of its readiness to help reclaim power from the incumbent.
