US-based Nigerian cries out after spending over N1m on passport renewal
A United States-based Nigerian has alleged spending over ₦1 million to renew his passport after months of delays, extra payments and disrupted travel plans. The Nigeria Immigration Service apologised for the experience, clarified that an alleged $150 collection fee was illegal, and promised to resolve the matter through official channels.
