US lobbying firm pushes Tinubu heroin allegations in Congress
A Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has taken allegations of heroin trafficking against President Bola Tinubu to the US Congress, saying they warrant policymakers’ attention.
According to Daily Post, the firm said in an X post on Wednesday that it briefed members of Congress and senior congressional staff on a FOIA case tied to allegations dating back to the 1980s and 1990s.
It argued the matter carries implications for national security, law enforcement cooperation and Nigeria-US relations.
However, the firm stopped short of drawing conclusions, urging policymakers to weigh “whether President Tinubu represents a strategic asset or an increasing national-security liability.”
