USCIS releases 100 official civics questions every US citizenship applicant must study
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published the complete list of 100 official civics questions and answers that foreign nationals — including Nigerians — seeking American citizenship through naturalisation must study ahead of their test.
Tribune reports that the material, covering American history, government, the Constitution and citizens’ rights, forms the basis of an oral examination during which USCIS officers ask up to 10 of the 100 questions. Applicants must correctly answer at least six to pass.
“Answer these questions with the name of the official who is serving at the time of your eligibility interview,” USCIS advised, noting that answers involving elected officials may change depending on interview timing.
