Vance details visa penalties for Microsoft, Adobe as Trump readies Alaska campaign stop
Vice President Vance on Thursday announced that the Trump administration is penalising Microsoft and Adobe, among other firms, over alleged fraud in the use of H1-B work visas, The Hill reports. The tech giants will no longer be allowed to apply for green cards for workers. The White House also hosted a science summit marking the “Golden Age of Innovation” on Thursday afternoon, where Trump is set to award tech mogul Elon Musk, among others, the National Medal of Science.
The Republican National Committee announced Trump will travel on Tuesday to Wasilla, Alaska, for a campaign rally to bolster Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is fighting off a reelection challenge. CNN, MS NOW and Politico’s lawsuit against the administration’s ban of the outlets on White House grounds returned to a Washington federal court, where a federal judge briefly extended an order lifting the ban.
Georgia Senate candidates Mike Collins and Sen. Jon Ossoff will debate on Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT.
