“Very disrespectful”: Barkley slams LeBron for golf swing during anthem

VIA CLAY TRAVIS ON X:

NBA legend Charles Barkley has criticised LeBron James for practising his golf swing on the court during the national anthem before his Philadelphia 76ers debut, Fox News reports.

Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Barkley said he pays no attention to what President Donald Trump says, who called James a “total disgrace” after the incident, but agreed on the anthem. “I thought that was very disrespectful, practicing your golf swing in the middle of the anthem. I always stand for the anthem. I just think it’s important,” he said.

He added: “We live in the greatest country ever where you can always protest, but I think you have to be very careful with the anthem.”

James also practised golf swings during the anthem last Christmas while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
