VIDEO: Angry youths attack APC lawmaker’s convoy in Kano over alleged neglect
Angry youths reportedly attacked the convoy of Muhammad Chiroma Nalabara, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Gezawa/Gabasawa Federal Constituency, in Kano State on Saturday.
The incident occurred in Garuruwa, Gabasawa Local Government Area, during a campaign-related visit by the lawmaker.
According to SaharaReporters, the protesters pelted Nalabara’s convoy with objects, accusing him of neglecting their community despite his years in office.
The youths reportedly expressed frustration over the lack of basic amenities and development projects, alleging that their living conditions had remained unchanged.
A video shared on X on Saturday by Bakatsine showed protesters marching along a major road, with some carrying wooden sticks and clubs.
The demonstrators were also heard chanting in their local dialect, condemning what they described as the lawmaker’s failure to address their needs.
As of the time of reporting, neither Nalabara nor the Kano State Police Command had publicly responded to the incident.
It remained unclear whether anyone sustained injuries or whether arrests were made following the confrontation.
