Vinícius Júnior fumes at La Liga following four-match ban ruling him out of El Clásico
Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior has publicly criticized Spanish football authorities after receiving a four-match domestic suspension that rules him out of the upcoming El Clásico against Barcelona, according to a report by GOAL.
The Brazilian was notified of the ban on the team bus just two hours before Real Madrid’s Champions League fixture against Roma. The penalty stems from his red card against Villarreal, where he was sent off for pulling Nathan Saliba’s hair and subsequently protesting the decision.
Disciplinary officials handed down a two-match ban for violent conduct alongside a two-match penalty for dissent. Both Vinícius and manager José Mourinho condemned the timing and communication of the decision, with Vinícius noting players were never informed of the new disciplinary regulations.
