WAFCON hosts Morocco progress as Algeria join them
Morocco secured a Women’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final place after a goalless draw with Senegal, while Algeria advanced by defeating Kenya 2-0. Senegal were eliminated despite goalkeeper Adji Ndiaye’s penalty heroics, with Morocco’s Yasmin Mrabet missing twice from the spot in a tense Group A finale.
