What led Mohamed Salah to make a shock move to Turkey’s fourth-biggest club, Trabzonspor?
Mohamed Salah has completed a surprise move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, signing a two-year contract after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.
According to The Athletic, the Egypt international turned down interest from Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League to remain in European football.
Trabzonspor reportedly offered a lucrative package worth around €17 million annually, while sponsorship support helped finance the landmark transfer. Salah’s arrival is regarded as one of the biggest signings in Turkish football history and a major statement of ambition by the Super Lig club.
