Why I voted APC in 2015 – Aisha Yesufu
A chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has said she does not regret voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 presidential election, revealing that her decision was influenced by the party’s choice of Yemi Osinbajo as running mate rather than former President Muhammadu Buhari himself, according to a report by Daily Post.
Speaking on the Kaa Truth podcast, Yesufu said reports that Buhari would delegate key responsibilities, particularly economic management, to Osinbajo shaped her decision. She recalled that Buhari was known to delegate duties during his time as military head of state, citing his reliance on Tunde Idiagbon.
Yesufu added that former President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance made Buhari’s candidacy more acceptable to voters at the time.
