‘You have only three days’: Terror-linked Pantami threatens action as INEC omits name from guber list
Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, has given the Independent National Electoral Commission three days to publish his name as the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Gombe State.
According to Daily Trust, Pantami’s lawyers, Ahmed Raji & Co., made the demand in a letter dated October 12, 2026, addressed to the INEC Chairman.
The firm said Pantami won a fresh PDP primary held on September 29 after a Federal High Court ordered the party to conduct another exercise.
His lawyers said INEC monitored the fresh primary but omitted Pantami’s name from the final list published on October 10.
“We have our Client’s firm and unequivocal instructions to demand that the Commission, on or before Wednesday, October 14, publish and circulate the name of Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim as the candidate of the PDPà for the office of Governor of Gombe State,” the letter stated.
The firm also asked INEC to confirm in writing the steps taken to correct the alleged omission.
