2027: Atiku’s son unveils plan to mobilise support for Tinubu’s re-election
Abba Abubakar, son of former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has unveiled a plan to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, Peoples Gazette reported Friday.
Abubakar founded and chairs the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation (HBTO), and he had earlier defected to the APC. He presented the plan at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. It includes a two-million-person march across the six geopolitical zones, starting in Abuja, and a major rally in Rivers State in the first week of November.
The group is also launching a transport scheme with ten luxury buses to ease commuting costs, starting in the Federal Capital Territory.
Abubakar admitted that the administration’s reforms had brought “difficult adjustments” for Nigerians, but said their long-term benefits deserved recognition.
He said he took the decision in his personal capacity and respected others’ differing political views.
