2027: Davido rejects Tinubu support despite uncle’s backing
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, says he may not support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 despite his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, endorsing the president.
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, as reported by Tribune, Davido said he was not under pressure to follow his uncle’s political position and currently had no preferred presidential candidate.
“Right now I don’t have a presidential candidate. It might change but it will not be APC,” he said.
Davido, however, said opposition parties’ failure to unite could improve Tinubu’s chances of winning another term, while urging greater political participation among young Nigerians.
