97-year-old dies at his own birthday party moments after dancing to ‘Stayin’ Alive’…
A 97-year-old California man died at his own birthday party moments after dancing to the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” the New York Post reported.
Los Angeles baker Eden Malinoff, 24, shared the story of her neighbour Vito after throwing him a Halloween-themed party. In a video she posted on TikTok, he claps, sways and smiles as the disco classic plays.
Vito died shortly after guests sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
“Unfortunately the night did not end as anticipated and Vito made a dramatic exit. But if there’s any way he could have chosen to go out it would have been like this,” Malinoff said.
When she asked him the secret to his long life, Vito told her it was to never drink cheap liquor.
His best friend posted: “He had some medical issues that we didn’t know the severity of, and he passed away peacefully with his favorite music going.”
Malinoff captioned the tribute video, which has drawn 9.5 million views, “RIP to an absolute legend.”
