Melania furiously turns against Stephen Miller after own friends removed by ICE…
US First Lady Melania Trump turned President Donald Trump against his deportation architect, Stephen Miller, after people she knew were arrested and deported.
Melania complained earlier this year. Soon after, Trump began telling aides that Miller, the deputy White House chief of staff, had gone too far, the Daily Mail reported, citing the Journal.
Amanda Ungaro was among those deported. She is the Brazilian ex-wife of Paolo Zampolli, the former modelling agent who introduced Trump to Melania. It is unclear whether Melania raised Ungaro’s case with the president.
Republican lawmakers in Texas and Florida had objected to raids that detained workers with no criminal records.
The shift followed the January killings of two American citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, by federal agents in Minneapolis. Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem branded Pretti a ‘domestic terrorist.’
No agent has been charged over either death.
The report comes after Democrats seized control of both chambers of Congress in Tuesday’s midterms.
