This is how former Gov. Sylva’s alleged coup donations were shared
Investigators say former Bayelsa governor Timipre Sylva’s alleged coup donations were channelled through Purple Waves Limited to a Kano-based BDC operator, Abdullahi Sani Mohammed, who disbursed N474.7 million to 47 beneficiaries between 10-30 September 2025. Recipients allegedly included military officers, clerics, and civilians, on instructions from coup leader Mohammed Ma’aji. About N306.6 million was later recovered from Mohammed after his arrest.
