Adeleke demands explanation from EFCC over frozen Osun account
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has challenged EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede to explain why the commission froze the state government’s account.
According to PUNCH, Adeleke described the action as illegal, saying it was taken without a court order.
The governor demanded evidence supporting the commission’s decision and warned that allowing federal agencies to disregard the rule of law threatened Nigeria’s democracy.
Adeleke said several state officials previously invited by the EFCC had been cleared.
He has directed Osun’s Attorney General to challenge the account freeze at the Federal High Court in Osogbo.
