Alonso provides Palmer, Colwill updates after Chelsea defeat
According to Hayters, Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso described Mykhailo Mudryk’s return to action as an emotional moment after the winger featured for the first time in more than a year during the Blues’ 1-0 pre-season defeat to Juventus.
Alonso revealed Mudryk was delighted to play 10 to 15 minutes following the resolution of his doping case. The Chelsea manager also eased concerns over Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill, explaining both were rested because of minor discomforts rather than injuries and are expected to be available for Saturday’s fixture.
