Hours after Senate contempt vote, Fauci’s wife flips bird while he takes out trash

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s wife flipped the middle finger at a photographer Thursday as the former top U.S. infectious disease official glumly took out the trash just hours after a Senate panel voted to hold him in contempt.

Christine Grady, Fauci’s wife, made the rude gesture outside their Washington, D.C., home before driving him away. Fauci appeared sullen while wheeling a recycling bin to the curb.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee voted 8-5 along party lines to refer the former NIAID director to the Justice Department after he invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times during recent testimony on his COVID-19 response.
