Man City target Enzo Fernández as Rodri replacement amid Barcelona move
Manchester City have identified Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández as a leading candidate to replace Rodri, who is reportedly edging closer to a move to Barcelona.
According to ESPN, new City boss Enzo Maresca is keen to reunite with the Argentina international, whom he previously coached at Chelsea. However, City could face a fee exceeding £100 million for the 25-year-old midfielder.
Rodri, meanwhile, has reportedly given Barcelona permission to open negotiations with Manchester City. Real Madrid remain interested but have fallen behind their Spanish rivals in the race for the Ballon d’Or winner.
