‘Tinubu walks to work and eats once daily’ — NRS boss Adedeji’s claims spark outrage

Nigeria Revenue Service Executive Chairman Zacch Adedeji has sparked widespread outrage after claiming on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics that President Bola Tinubu walks from his residence to the office, eats only once daily and has not travelled abroad in three months — comments Nigerians swiftly ridiculed on social media, as reported by DAILY POST.

“Mr President goes from home to office on foot,” Adedeji said, defending the administration’s cost of governance.

X users condemned the remarks as insulting, with one writing: “These guys are playing on our intelligence way too much.” The controversy erupted amid Nigeria’s 15.91 percent headline inflation and a N70,000 minimum wage.
