Osun Poll: Adeleke loses PDP faction’s support to APC’s Oyebamiji
The faction, addressing supporters in Osogbo on Sunday, cited exclusion from Governor Ademola Adeleke’s handling of government affairs as the reason for the switch, though Oyinlola insisted the group remains within the PDP and is not defecting, Punch reports.
Flanked by ex-SSG Fatai Akinbade and former PDP Southwest Vice Chairman Tajudeen Oladipo, Oyinlola urged Oyebamiji to prioritise inclusive governance if elected.
Oyebamiji, in response, pledged to honour the mandate. Efforts to reach the state PDP chairman for comment were unsuccessful.
