‘Helicopter brought money to our kidnappers’: Woro victims contradict Tinubu’s govt no-ransom rescue claim
Women and children freed from six months of captivity following their abduction from Woro community in Kwara State have reportedly told relatives that a helicopter delivered money to their kidnappers days before their release — directly contradicting the Federal Government’s account of a military rescue operation with no ransom paid, SaharaReporters reports.
“They said a helicopter came while they were in captivity and money was brought to the kidnappers. They saw it, but they were not allowed to touch the money,” a relative told SaharaReporters, adding that two family members were “shocked” when they heard government officials claim no payment was made.
The Federal Government has not responded to the allegations.
