Adeleke reveals what Tinubu said about Osun account freeze
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has revealed what President Bola Tinubu told him after the EFCC froze the state’s account, according to Tribune Online, which reported the disclosure at Tuesday’s Arise Town Hall for Osun governorship candidates.
Adeleke said Tinubu expressed embarrassment and called the action unacceptable, assuring him of a free and fair election Saturday.
The governor accused his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, Tinubu’s cousin, of dropping the president’s name to pressure federal agencies into freezing the account, insisting Tinubu was unaware. Adeleke vowed Osun would resist attempts to destabilise the state ahead of the poll.
