Adeleke declares work-free Friday ahead of Osun governorship poll
Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Friday a work-free day to enable public service workers in Osun State prepare for and participate in Saturday’s governorship election, according to Peoples Gazette.
The circular, issued by Head of Service Ayanleye Aina, said the holiday would allow workers who need to travel to exercise their voting rights, excluding those on emergency and essential duties.
In a pre-election message, Adeleke urged workers to mobilise informal workers and artisans to defend his administration’s achievements, warning against a “return to dark days.”
