Dangote effect deepens: More Nigerian filling stations slash petrol prices
More filling stations across Abuja have reduced petrol pump prices to between N1,275 and N1,299 per litre, as the downstream price competition triggered by Dangote Refinery’s recent reduction continues to spread through Nigeria’s fuel retail market, DAILY POST reports.
Wednesday morning checks showed Ranoil, Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO), Empire Filling Stations and others cutting prices by between N11 and N25 per litre from their previous N1,300–N1,310 rates.
The reductions follow NNPCL and AA Rano’s price reviews on Monday and Dangote Refinery’s N50 per litre cut to N1,165 last week — a cascading price realignment now reshaping petrol retail competition nationwide.
